I am a 21-year-old Bachelor of Philosophy student at the University of Western Australia (UWA) with majors in mathematics and physics. I undertook honours in Pure Mathematics in 2024 supervised by Assoc. Prof. John Bamberg. My recently submitted thesis is about the incidence-based foundation of the hyperbolic plane which was discovered and advanced in the twentieth century by Viennese mathematician Karl Menger. The thesis topic was sparked by the novel treatment of the foundation given in a 2023 article by Bamberg and Penttila.

At the end of 2023 I was one of two Western Australian students selected for the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute's 2023-24 Summer Research Scholarship.

My academic pathway has not been straightforward. I undertook two semesters' study in music composition under the tutelage of James Ledger from which I profited greatly. I am grateful to Dr. Ledger and the UWA Conservatorium for their support.

On the musical front, I sung in the 2023 season of the National Youth Choir of Australia, which was an absolute joy. I am fortunate to have joined Perth's Voyces choir and the St George's College Consort this year. I sing for other groups in Perth from time to time.

None of the above would be possible except that I have been surrounded by many kind and generous people: family, friends, peers, teachers, lecturers, professors, mentors, etc. To each of these people, thank you.

Most of all, every good thing comes from the Living God, the Holy Trinity, Who is known only through Jesus Christ the God-man; Who is worthy of praise and is pleased by the sacrifice only of a broken and contrite spirit; Who is near to all who call upon Him and merciful to sinners; Who is quick to forgive, slow to anger, and kind; Who is mighty in battle, right in His judgements, and more powerful than death.

This website is still (clearly!) a work in progress. I hope for it to become a place to make connections and share my work.
